Ashanti Douglas, popularly called Ashanti and is born in Glen Cove New York United States on 13th October 1980. She is an American singer as well as songwriter. Ashanti was discovered as an teen and signing with Murder Inc. Records in 2002. That same year, she also included on The Fat Joe's What's Luv? The song "What's Love?" by Fat Joe as well as Ja Rule's "It's Always" on Time was a huge hit for both of them. Her hits include Foolish (number number one) and How's Luv! at number two.
